In Year 9 you will study a series of Artists who explore Texture. You will learn a wide range of techniques, how to create texture and incorporate it into your Artwork. You will then build upon these skills by completing a Graphic Art linking to the theme of "Hopes and Fears". This will then conclude with a unit called "Icons", which will still focus on your hopes and fears and those who inspire you. This year is about discovery and exploration, of Art and yourself, your goals and ambition of who you want to become and the choices you make for your future.

You will be building on the skills you learnt in year 7 and 8 within still life, portraiture and landscape art to conclude with a meaningful final exam piece including portraiture and texture with perhaps a graphical twist! We hope you enjoy it!
